The library media center at Farmington High School aims to provide students with opportunities to explore and express themselves in ways they normally would not get to. Many students worry about designing and creating for fear of what others may think and judgments that may come. We foster an environment where exploration through technology and arts is accepted and encouraged.
Using a Cricut, heat press, 3D printers, 3D printing pens, robots, sticker makers, and many other technologies, our students are learning design software, problem solving skills, and different ways to be creative. Through our continued acquisition of new and fun technology, our students will be able to use and understand a plethora of technologies they interact with once they leave high school. Our goal is to prepare our students for a future outside of school that benefits the community and their personal wellness.
