I am on a mission to diversify my students classroom library and deepen our 3rd grade conversations about race. I want my classroom to be a place where all students feel welcome, respected, and valued. Books are doors and windows to the world and I want my students to be able to see themselves in my classroom library. This project full of diverse picture books and chapter books would not only bring diversity to our classroom read alouds but also provide my students more diverse selections for their independent reading selections. All of these books would help us have tough conversations to promote the Black Lives Matter Movement.
