This year I tried using wobble chairs at my center table and it was a great success. Next year I plan to increase the number of wobble chairs to include most of the other centers and add bean bags for my listening center station.
My wiggly Transitional Kindergarteners will be able to move freely on their seats without the possibility of rocking their chair over backward or resorting to standing up.
It will also helped reduce the forest of legs that are a continual trip hazard in the classroom, improving safe transitions between centers. I hope to increase the flexible seating for student comfort and to continue to improve the safety of my classroom.
