These books will teach my students about tolerance and accepting others' differences. We will read these books in whole group, guided reading, and partner reading. I will create a sense of community by having students work with a different partner every time to teach them that they can work with anyone, even if their opinion differs from their own. These books will allow my students to partner read and connect through their differences. During our Bullying unit, we will use these books to learn more about bullying and how to promote bullying awareness. These books will allow my students to learn how to work cooperatively together and build teamwork skills.
