All children love to play with LEGOs. We know that children learn very important skills through playing with LEGOs such as fine motor skills, problem solving, spatial awareness, and creativity.
But did you know that children can also learn Social Emotional Skills (SEL) when playing with LEGOs? As a school counselor I have the opportunity to work with children in small groups and through our structured play with LEGOs they can learn SEL skills such as team work, collaboration, social skills, cooperation, and communication skills.
Students will have the opportunity to learn these valuable life skills in a fun, creative weekly small group setting with their own set of LEGOs.
