Junior High is a TOUGH environment! It is difficult for students to transition from the elementary setting into a structured, high-school-like setting. In 8th grade you have the outer appearance of a "mature grown up" but inside you have more energy than the rowdiest ten year old.
With that being said, sensory devices are much needed in the Junior High classroom! These devices will allow students to release their energy as well as stay focused on the subject at hand. I have chosen the DeskCycle as a much needed sensory device because of it's high recommendation and rating on several teaching blogs. I am confident it will help even my rowdiest students achieve academic and social success in the classroom!
