One area my students struggle the most with is listening and attending. We are frequently working on comprehension and appropriate social skills, which having these supplies will help to address. Students will be able to listen to stories or practice math and reading skills with the headphones. I am requesting inexpensive headphones so they can be used every day to listen to stories and promote reading and math skills. They will have the opportunity to hear audio books and to participate in educational websites such as Epic reading! The large carpet will be placed in the front of the classroom and used as a gathering place during mini-lessons.
Having appropriate chairs for students to learn in has boosted their ability to focus and concentrate on subject matter, according to research. In my classroom, we are promoting independence to help students integrate with their mainstream peers.
I want each student to feel safe and confident in our classroom and to believe that they can achieve and succeed even when the world has told them they can't. In donating to this project, the materials will continue to assist us to help these children reach their maximum potentials.
