Make a donation Mr. Peters can use on his next classroom project.
The donations from this project will help the children in my care who need extra support in regards to their sensory development. The materials will be used to help include all of the children come together in a large group setting while still being able to express their sensory needs through fidgets and special seating.
These children who are in need of extra sensory support should not be excluded because they are in need of inclusion. The special seating will be used for those children who need that sensory support when they are sitting on the classroom carpet. The fidgets and chewy tubes will be used for those children who need extra sensory support so that they will not have to chew on their clothes. The magnetic schedule board and accessories will be used for those children who have limited language and need a way to communicate their wants and needs. The timer will be used for those children who need a visual example to see how long their time is for a particular task or how long they would need to wait until they are able to partake in an activity they are interested in. The resource books will be used as a support for teachers so that they can become more familiar with inclusion in their classrooms and how to set up a developmentally appropriate learning environment for all abilities.
