The PEERS class at Warner Middle School is comprised of 10 students on the Autism Spectrum who are working to improve their social skills. A big part of the curriculum is learning how to work with others collaboratively and enjoy one another's company through activities such as get-togethers. Our students have worked extremely hard and have improved their abilities to find common interests with their peers, engage in conversations, choose appropriate friends at school and in the community, handle teasing/arguments, deal with all forms of bullying and learn how to change their reputations. We would like to be able to reward these students for all of their hard work by holding a special graduation celebration. We would like to give each student a gift that will encourage further socialization, specifically games and sporting equipment. We would appreciate any support in rewarding these amazing students.
