These items will be used in the classroom as sensory and manipulative tools for students with special needs in a general education setting. Coming back to in-person learning can be hard on any child, but is an extremely daunting task for students who need help in sensory regulation. By replacing negative sensory experiences (bring lights, crowded halls, loud auditoriums) with positive sensory experiences (things that can be squished, popped, or clicked), I can make the school day easier for my students.
I am working to provide one-on-one, hands on experiences for my students who need extra support outside of a general education setting.
