Having your own supplies to: count, add, subtract, sort and combine is what my kids would use. Having a colored alphabet ring with colored pictures that match the letter, letters to makes words, materials to create and write with. Supplies that are their own and in their own bag from this personal kit, is what my kinder's need when we are in REMOTE DISTANCE LEARNING. It's a place where they can get the materials they need to be creative and can explore how numbers work, patterns are formed, sorting objects, recognizing objects and colors, letters and shapes they make. The possibilities are endless when supplies are giving to a five year old who has nothing to touch or manipulate, and you ask them "what do you notice and what would you like to know? Can you imagine their expression when they see something for the first time? It's very powerful and magical to them. Supplies for every kinder cost money and the manipulative each needs is something that can't be replaced if lost because of its quantity and original resource provided by the district. It would e such a gift for my kinder's to have what they need to grow and learn through creative and purposeful learning. Thank you so much for helping make a difference in their future.
