I am the new PE Coach at Maedgen Elementary and I could not be more excited for our upcoming school year! This will be the first year that our PK-5 students will get to come to PE everyday. That means I will see every student in our building, everyday of the week. That is over 450 students daily! Unfortunately, our gym is poorly equipped. We have not received any funding for major updates and we are lacking many things. We have an older model sound system and it lacks functioning microphones that will be used to guide students through different stations, warm-ups, games and educational activities. In addition, these microphones will be used by administrators when we have assemblies in the gym. Our school is a Title 1 school with high mobility and we service a majority of students from low socio-economic backgrounds.
