This poem is a reflection of the life of many of the scholars I serve. They push through despite all their adversities and make it to school everyday. They might not have a pencil but they have the mindset to learn.
Many of my scholars lack the resources they need at home to continue their learning. Providing scholars with something as simple as a pencil and box of crayons would allow for a great learning experience.
