The fine motor activities that have been selected, will help the students work on academic skills while using their hands in fun ways. They will manipulate objects with their hands while counting, reading and sorting. They will be practicing academic skills at the same time as improving fine motor skills.
The students that I work with have trouble with writing. We can only practice writing their name so many times. I would like to get them some new materials that are colorful and fun so that they can practice in a variety of ways. This way they can practice many different times but always using fine motor skills while they are learning other academics.
