These items will be used as seating in various workstations that the students can choose from. The chairs all offer a sensory stimulus allowing the students to concentrate on their academic learning.
We can support these students by providing them a sensory outlet by offering flexible seating. Some of the immediate benefits are burning more calories, using up excess energy, improving metabolism, increased motivation, engagement, creating a better oxygen flow to the brain, improving core strength and overall posture.
Children that struggle with hyperactivity and attention disorders, that may stem from a larger learning disability, or are part of a complex sensory profile from psychological trauma, impacts their ability to learn and feel successful in the classroom.
