We currently have a very limited library on level for our developing bilinguals in second grade. We have classrooms full of curious little minds. However, the texts we have do not match interest and/or reading level and it makes it very difficult to engage students in texts! Your help will allow us to increase our students' vocabulary and knowledge while acquiring a second language. These informational texts will be utilized as mentor texts for our bilingual students. They will be able to engage in the informational texts, while further developing their reading and writing skills. Our growing readers and authors will have an opportunity to showcase their skills and knowledge at our annual Young Author Celebration.
