Children learn in many different ways. In order to create an environment that works best for them, I would like to transform my classroom. I want to make their learning spaces more student-centered. In order to do that, I plan to use flexible seating.
This growing trend can be so beneficial to students for many reasons. The children gain greater control of their education. They will choose where they will sit everyday to optimize their learning. Students also gain a sense of ownership because the classroom becomes "ours", not just "mine". Students will become more invested in their education because they are comfortable, and able to move about the room to share ideas with others.
