The second graders in room 46 are in need of a new carpet. The one we currently have is starting to fall apart at the seams. We spend a lot of time learning from the carpet, so this is a classroom essential. The current carpet is also poorly designed, with skinny rectangles instead of nicely sized squares. I have some students who have gone through a growth spurt and are having a hard time fitting on the little rectangles, but feel self conscious if given alternative seating arrangements. Not having enough space on the carpet leads to students not being able to do their best learning. A new carpet would be an easy solution to an unnessary challenge. Help us get a new rug with squares big enough for every child to fit in, comfortably!
