This year I will be teaching math to nearly all 6th grade students. My focus will be to create an individual learning plan for each student that combines small group instruction, technology, and individual learning goals. Students will be active participants in the metacognative process of their mathematical learning.
Many of my students do not have access to technology at home, as thay are at a socioeconomic disadvantage. They will be encouraged to grow their growth mindset and develop confidence in their ability to learn math.
Data tracking and analysis will assist me in providing just right practice that will meet each learner at their level and provide growth opportunities.
