My students are joyful, hard-working and inspirational in their stamina and resilience. Originating from regions in the world such as the Middle East, Nepal, Vietnam, and the Philippines, my students make Redding the most diverse elementary school in the district! It is this diversity that makes my students thoughtful and caring citizens of our class community. My students adore reading- tall tales, picture books, and non-fiction- they love them all! My kids are also critical observers and thinkers and are always working towards becoming careful mathematicians - checking and revising their math is an ongoing challenge! My kids often work together in partnerships or small groups in activities and long-term projects which encourages and cultivates, through thoughtful practice, that working together for a common goal takes effort and patience, but ultimately makes our classroom a strong, united body.
