I am blessed to serve 17 outstanding, hard-working 7 & 8 year old 2nd grade scholars from a low-income, inner city community.
My scholars need access to the latest technology, field trips outside of their own local neighborhoods, and the most engaging educational opportunities available to help motivate and inspire them to build the skills and knowledge they need.
My scholars face many obstacles to school success yet embody the traits of perseverance, hope, and determination. They have each set a personal goal to attend college and our 2017-2018 class theme is "Super Scholars Can!"
My scholars and I are proud to attend Melrose Elementary School, where we worked hard last year to break a longstanding school grade of an "F". We are proud to say that we broke the F and moved up 2 grade levels to a "C"!
This year, we will do whatever it takes. Please help us on our journey, as we are growing our way to an "A"!
