This year in an effort to help develop student-based learning, growth mindset, and team-building to the Mathematics classroom I have found a fun way to incorporate all of these things using Breakout Escape Room Activities. Not only will these Escape Room Breakout activity kits benefit my students but also students throughout my school!
Coming up with something creative and fun for students to do in a high school mathematics class can often times be challenging, so through my research and efforts I found this awesome resource to use with my students! Each Escape Room Breakout box contains all of the supplies you would need to run an activity and comes with all the resources needed!
Some of these resources include lockable tackle boxes, 3-digit locks, 4-digit locks, alphabetical locks, directional locks, lock hasps, black lights, black light pens, etc. I have listed the resources to complete four of these kits so that I can use them with a class of 30 - 35 students in small groups of about six - eight students. Students will have to solve puzzles, complete tasks, and many other things to get the correct combinations to the locks that they will use to escape the room or whatever the goal of that activity may be!
