How lucky am I that my wonderful second grade students have an eighty minute ElA Block. This generation of students grow up with so much technology. They need to be exposed, excited by and develop a love for reading. My super second graders need an amazing library to get them excited about reading. This will be the first year my school has three sections of second grade. I have worked hard all summer gathering books. As I look at all the books I have gathered I realize I am lacking non-fiction books. As adults the majority of books read are non-fiction. One of my main jobs as a teacher is to get kids excited about reading non-fiction books. If you could help me build my library with high interest non-fiction books it will help my students develop a love of reading
