"She's touching me!" " I don't have a spot to sit!" " He stepped on my fingers!"
These are phrases I constantly hear in my classroom. In Kindergarten, most of our learning takes place on the classroom rug. With this rug, my children will be able to sit, play, and interact with each other while learning. Our current rug does not allow all the children to sit. Many of my children end up sitting on the cold, hard tile. With this rug, my children with be able to sit comfortably together while learning.
Having a larger rug in my classroom, will allow my students to stay focused on learning rather than who is stepping on their fingers or touching them. Kindergartens need to be able to "fidget" while they sit, and having a larger rug will allow them to do this without interrupting their peers learning.
