When funded, this project will ensure my students access to tools that will help them model and solve math problems. The place value write and wipe boards and foam discs will be used during whole group instruction to translate written numbers into standard and expanded form and back. The geoboards will be used as we tackle shapes and identify their various attributes. Gear clocks will assist students as the learn to tell time and also figure out elapsed time.
These manipulatives will allow students to work both independently and cooperatively to practice and build their skills.
The pencils and erasers will be used as additional classroom supplies and the easel will be used for small group instruction.
