This year, I am teaching my students about important topics like money, shapes, and telling time. We need these hands-on math materials to help us understand these important concepts. For example, we will use our clocks to see time measured in 15 minute increments.
We will use our basic supplies of scissors and crayons every day!
My students need to have many opportunities to interact with materials that help with their learning because many of them are English Language Learners. Learners that are able to understand real-world concepts by using hands-on practice, will be more prepared for the real world.
