In order for my kindergarten students to learn how to read appropriately, they not only need to practice reading with guidance, but also need to be read to. With this requested listening center and read-along library, my students will be able to be read during their literacy center time. They will learn how to read with expression and practice reading along and start recognizing new words.
With this listening center and read-along CDs, students who struggle with listening in whole group will have an opportunity to listen to a story independently and become immersed in a story. I want my students to have every opportunity possibility to be successful and this listening center would help greatly.
