This year my students will be diving into Science Fiction through novels and short stories. It would be great if my students had an opportunity to read the award-winning novel A Wrinkle in Time. By reading this classic, my students will understand that science fiction is a genre that has been around long before Star Wars and that without stories like this, there would be no current science fiction. This is an exciting moment for my students and their journey will be an exhilarating and inspirational one that will help them love reading! In their journey into Science Fiction, students will read this novel and identify plot elements as well as discover examples of theme, symbolism, and characterization as a meaningful way to explore literature.
