The use of whiteboards is almost a daily activity in my classroom. My students are starting to learn to white and being able to write and erase without wasting paper is a must. The whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. What becomes a problem is the fact that the markers never seem to last, erasers seem to disappear, and the whiteboards I made aren't lasting. I can't replace materials that don't work when we aren't in the physical classroom. Giving them a sturdy whiteboard and several dry erase makers at once helps make sure they are prepared every day and can replace the markers when needed.
