This book, The Last Boy at St. Edith's reaches all students in the middle grades transition of life. It especially appeals to boy readers and engages them from the very beginning. By reaching out to the struggles of boys in middle school, students will have an opportunity to engage in discussion about real life challenges they are facing, much like the main character.
Through humor and self reflection students will connect with the main character and their own self as they face different challenges in middle school.Students will enjoy reading about Jeremy's struggles as the only boy left in an all girls school and his plan to change his life.
