I want to provide my students with more opportunities to explore their curiosity and wonder. These materials will help the students in my classroom develop science, engineering, and mathematic skills through the use of imagination, play, and hands-on experience.
Through these morning tub activities, students will be given the opportunity to express their creative minds as soon as they enter the classroom rather than coming in and completing traditional morning work.
These tubs will include various types of building materials to encourage students to be imaginative and use their problem solving skills! They will also include materials for students to build words and practice spelling. In addition this will provide students with resources to practice math skills and concepts. Students will utilize the dough stampers, playstix and letter blocks to form spelling words and sight words. The intermix and math links will give students the opportunity to practice math skills. These materials will allow students to take ownership in their learning and give them the opportunity to choose their morning work.
This will provide my kiddos with the materials needed to come in and start thinking outside of the box. These children have wonderful minds and I can't wait to see how this project assists in their growth!
