My school doesn't currently have an art class, so art has to be created in the classroom during literacy centers, math centers, and during free choice. As we all know, budgets are cut every year and there is little room for the extra necessities that art and project based learning requires. Without the help of generous donors, we can not afford even the most basic supplies. Please help me to get my students the supplies we need for a successful art and project based learning integration into the classroom. Art and project based learning enhances creativity and hands-on learning opportunities. We plan to integrate art and project based learning into our units of study. These art supplies will provide opportunities for the students to use their creativity and enhance their learning. For example, we need construction paper, scissors, pipe cleaners/pom poms, brushes and paints to create things like habitats. We also need the markers, pencils, and crayons to draw and record our observations. The students will also use the markers, crayons, and pencils during literacy centers, math centers, and free choice. We will need the aprons for the students to protect their clothing during art projects that involve paint. We need the Lysol wipes to clean up after projects. The bouncy bands for the desks would be a great addition to the classroom for the learners that need some extra support to get all their wiggles out.
