I teach at an elementary school that has so much diversity in its student population from ethnicity to socio-economic background, but all the kids have one thing in common - their desire to learn, experiment and explore. There is a sizeable percentage of students on free/reduced lunch, and we have a very diverse mix of ethnicities, including Filipino, Hispanic, Pacific Islander, and more. Many of our students don't have any books at home and aren't exposed to outside educational enrichment, and others have full extracurricular schedules after school.
My aim in signing up for Ðǿմ«Ã½ is to level the playing field as much as possible, by having enough materials in my classroom to engage all students, no matter their backgrounds.
