Our school in Nipomo, CA is a Title 1 school where about half of the students participate in the free and reduced-price lunch program. Many of my students are looking for a place to belong and be loved, and that is what I strive to provide for them. From day one my students know that we aren't just a classroom, but we are a family. My students come together as a community to support and encourage one another and I work to create an environment where they can feel comfortable to be themselves and learn to their full potential. The students in the Room 37 Family know that no matter what is happening in their homes, they will always be loved, listened to, and cared for once they enter the doors. These students know that they will always have our family.
