I serve in a Title I school in which my classroom is comprised of students of multicultural descent residing in a low-income area. The students thrive in a classroom environment where their individuality is valued while not being judged by race, gender, intellectual ability or circumstances. The students thirst for knowledge, attain it uniquely, and constantly attempt to exceed high expectations. Though some students struggle with behavior, others with academics and a few who attempt to fill a need of belonging; the students are bright, talented and academically successful in their own distinctive ways. I love interacting with the students daily and feel all children (past, present and future students) can do whatever educators as well as stakeholders in the community hope and expect of them.
