Sensory play is a key part of child development. Up until a certain age, children learn best through their senses. It can most help those with challenging behaviors or shy personalities. Fine motor skills, language, creativity, sensory awareness, and emotional intelligence can all be mastered or improved via sensory play. At the moment, our classroom has limited and/or outdated materials and we would love to bring new materials to the room.
I envision a more therapeutic and creative learning environment to be established in the classroom with the introduction of these materials. The requested 4-Way Sand & Water Table will allow the children to have their own space while they play while allowing our more tactile learners to have more room to explore. More materials means that we will be able to expand the amount of activities we can do. For example, they can play I Spy with letters in the sand, motor skills, and imagination can be developed using the Sensory Sand Ice Cream set, and they can expand their vocabulary as they learn how to describe things they may have never felt before with the Sensory Noodles, Gel-Bead Sensory Shapes, Kinetic Sensory Sand, Colored Kinetic Sands, and the Mold & Play Sand.
With your help, we can bring this vision to life!
