My math and science learners crave and cannot get enough technology. Since our school consists primarily of low socio-economic students, it means the school district has a low tax base. We have little to no industry to supply extra dollars for our school budget. Without a large budget our Board and Administrators are faced with the difficult decision of choosing which budget items can be funded. This and the extra expenses associated with Hurricane Harvey due to the resulting damages that were not covered by insurance or FEMA, our district is financially strapped to provide even some of the necessities for the learners and the staff.
These Lenovo computers will be utilized by all learners. Struggling to advanced learners will have access to learning programs that extend and challenge them. Research, math practice, math challenges, and science projects will have another dimension with the addition of this technology. My second grade students will be so excited to have these in our classroom! I will be so honored to offer this resource to my students.
