The materials I am requesting will be put to use immediately in my classroom. The book baskets will help me sort my books so my students can have easier access to them. Bouncy Bands can help all students feel more relaxed and comfortable while they work. They quickly allow students with a way to bounce their feet, stretch their legs, or simply rest their feet. The wobble cushion will help students who have trouble sitting for long periods of time focus on slight movements to keep them more engaged. The balance balls will be another choice for students to use in the classroom to help them with their learning focus.
I have been an educator for 30 years, and I get to touch our future every day, so when I learn about new practices that will benefit kids, I wholeheartedly jump in. These new classroom items will benefit my students by giving them flexible seating options to create a more comfortable environment that helps them be their best learning selves. Students are going to be more likely to learn if they’re comfortable in the room, both physically and emotionally. It is my hope that these items will let this happen in my second grade classroom.
