You would be helping my students achieve our quarterly AR reading goals! I am coming from a different school where I was too exhausted to pack up my entire classroom library and now my class has basically read all of the books I've managed to bring! I was at my previous school for four years and always had hand-me-down books in my classroom library.
I wasn't expecting my students to grow so much and so fast! They are a smart bunch that LOVE to read and meet any goal assigned to them. This group deserves books that are challenging for them so that they can make the necessary growth. A lot of mine, are reading beyond a first grade level and I am basically all out of books! Their parents work hard with them as well and I am so grateful for that, but I need to be able to keep up with their hard work by introducing them to new texts in my classroom.
