I am requesting a projector, document camera, white board and rug for my classroom. With a projector, I can share with my students what I have learned to do on Google Docs (create and share Documents and Presentations, take online quizzes with Forms to provide immediate feedback, etc). A projector will allow for me to display and share documents, use real time peer editing and feedback and quick mini-lessons in grammar and writing in a more visually appealing way. A projector will also open the door to a world of information that lies outside our classroom and outdated textbooks. As a class, we can participate in interactive online webinars, explore the world with Google Earth, and view primary documents that connect to our curricula. In short, the use of a projector will open up opportunities for whole class learning. This projector and document camera will replace my boring overhead projector lessons with colorful, visually appealing lessons. The shared visual experience will promote greater exchanges among students and teacher. This project will build a shared learning experience using resources that lie beyond the classroom and create 21st century global citizens.
