My classroom is a wonderful mix of students from a variety of ethnic and cultural backgrounds, but they all share one thing in common- they attend school in a low-income neighborhood in a district that has been saddled with numerous cutbacks, as of late. With our school being in a high poverty area, it is labeled as being Title I and 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch. Our school also services a large number of military dependent children.
