Many of my students come from very low income households that rarely venture outside of home and school. Some have never been to a movie theater, and many have never visited a science center or a museum. It is very important to me that I bring the outside world into the classroom through diverse and descriptive learning experiences. Most of these experiences are funded out of my personal account so that the monies given by my district can go towards the basic tools students need, such as pencils, paper and supplemental curriculum. It is my hope that, through this organization, that I can bring in the learning experiences that I am unable to afford personally and therefore, continue to bring the outside world to them.
About my class
