My school is located in the vibrant community of Flatbush, Brooklyn, also known as The Little Caribbean of NYC. As a Title 1 school a majority of students are from low-income households. Inside the classroom students explore a variety of musical styles, including influential gospel and protest songs, indigenous song and dance traditions from around the world, and modern popular music. My students are bright, curious, and always excited to learn about new things.
