The requested resources will help to develop a love of hands-on education. Hands-on learning is so important for early childhood education. Being able to provide more hands-on materials for each of my students to work independently will help keep the spread of germs at a minimum during the COVID-19 pandemic. It will also provide exciting and various subject areas of engagement. There are many ways the requested materials will be used. I will use the classroom floor puzzles, crazy shapes magnetic blocks and young architects design blocks during S.T.E.M. and math activities. The Alphabet teaching sound tubs will be a wonderful addition to our letter formation and sound introductions. The Build a Number Houses, Number Line Math Activity and Number Bots will be a more hands on approach to math lessons and small groups. The Snap and Build CVC's, Alphabets and Build A Letter materials will be beneficial in building words and blending sounds. I will use the tabletop hardwood blocks for indoor recess as well as patterning for math lessons. Requested materials will help cut down the spread of germs as they will be easily sanitized. Students will gain hands on knowledge in core areas of math, reading and S.T.E.M. education.
