Many of my students are hoping to be the first in their family to attend college. Most receive assistance with school fees and lunch money. They are hard-working and realize education is their best opportunity for a better life. Learning about the environment is important for them because they have the ingenuity and ability to improve conditions on our planet. Even though my students are poor, they are lucky because they live in the country and have a special love for the outdoors.
