This year, among teaching all subjects, we are particularly focusing on continued progress and development of phonics and reading skills. By having access to our browse boxes, students can quickly choose books from our classroom library or the school library to practice independent reading; not to mention, a safe place to store them if they are not quite finished. Speaking of libraries…the organizational rolling cart will be used to collect our school library books to turn in on our weekly visits. Because our reading block is quite large, we have time to utilize literacy stations and will use the various reading and phonics activities to captivate our kiddos hearts and minds! We will also use our dry erase boards daily during carpet time, while practicing our lettering skills, and during stations. This will not only keep our students engaged in learning, but eager to share the knowledge they learn with others!
By being able to gift my Kinders with items to make their work easier and more special they will continue to work hard at expanding their tiny imaginations and remain determined towards their goals.
