All donations received will go towards furnishing a classroom that enhances student engagement and comfort. These alternative seats will allow my students to find a seating arrangement that fits their needs. I only have a small nook and carpet area and this will give my students flexibility and options; they are not all going to race to the back carpet area.
I would like to give my students a versatile and welcoming classroom environment. I've requested swivel chairs for students who have a more difficult time sitting still. The table and stools will help create an additional space for literature circle and group discussions to take place. The pillows will be placed in the nook carpet in our room, allowing students to be in a more inviting area.
By providing these alternative options students will be encouraged to take their learning into their own hands and make smart decisions for themselves.
