The goal of our MakerSpace in the library is to inspire students to become participatory learners by making, producing, solving, creating, collaborating and thinking! Our school does not currently have the resources for our students to experiment with important STEM skills like coding or robotics; nor do they often get the opportunity to build or create using their imaginations and problem-solving skills. I envision our library becoming a space equipped for students to use their curiosity to guide their learning and exploration. The tools and kits in this project will allow students to start learning basic coding and building skills. These tools will enhance our MakerSpace and bring it up to speed with what other schools and districts are providing their students.
