The carpet I have selected will not only open up more flexible seating options in my classroom, but will get my students off the floor during our classroom meetings. Our classroom meetings will be used to learn new content as well as navigate through social and emotional issues that may arise within the class. Students will be able to sit on the warm carpet during guided reading and math. They will take learning into their own hands while helping create Anchor charts during lessons to solidify what they are learning. Students will use the carpet to share their daily journal entries and projects. The carpet will serve as a meeting place for peer tutors creating a conducive learning atmosphere for all.
