I have chosen an array of materials for my 5th grade math students. A chose a couple of daily practice books that I hope to use as a resource to provide students with a daily skill set. I will use these books to make copies for the whole class. I believe that all my students deserve the chance to love math. I have chosen a magnetic graph paper that I think will be useful to show students how to work out problems, but also give them the chance to show their classmates their own skills. Along these same lines, I chose some manipulatives that I can use to help students understand have a hands on approach to their learning. I have also chosen to purchase a set of performance tasks. These will give student the chance to not only learn new math skills, but also apply them to real world and hands on settings!
